Welcome to

Learning Disabilities Association
of Oklahoma

We hope you will find this webpage helpful in answering questions about learning disabilites and informative about what assistance our orginization can offer in finding help for specific learning problems. Understanding the problems a learning disability brings to individuals makes it easier to help them. The best ally a learning-disabled student has is an involved support system made up of family, teachers, and counselors who want to guide the student and support him or her as s/he learns to advocate for themselves.

Learning Disabilites Association of Oklahoma (LDAO) is a nonprofit organization commited to enhancing the lives of individuals with learning disabilites and their families through education, advocacy, research, and service.

We are supported by memberships of parents, educators, and administrators, as well as individuals with learning disabilities and other concerned citizens who support our mission of education and empowerment for those who must deal with the "invisible" disability.

Through local grassroots efforts, LDAO seeks to educate those who make public policy decisions and to influence legislative action in the state capital.
