The Joseph Greggs Memorial Scholarship was established in 2000 to offer financial assistance to learning disabled high school seniors intending to continue their education in college. Joe was the founder and president of the Oklahoma City metro support group and served LDAO in many capacities until his death in 1999.
The first awards were made in April 2001 to two Oklahoma students. Members of the LDAO board of directors have since voted to support the fund by directing all profits from the silent auction benefit, held in conjuction with the annual conference, to the Joseph Greggs Memorial Scholarship fund.
